Why Change Feels So Hard…
If we're honest, most of us don't really like change. We like routines. We like certainty. We like knowing what tomorrow will look like.
But life has a way of reminding us that change isn't optional. Jobs change. Friendships change. Families grow. Dreams evolve. Seasons come and go.
And somewhere in the middle of it all, we often find ourselves asking: "Who am I becoming?"
This week on Raised on Faith, we sat down with our friend Brian Auman to talk about change, identity, and what it means to keep following Jesus through every season of life.
One thing became clear: Growth is rarely comfortable, but it's often where God does His best work.
This Week’s Reflection
We often pray for God to grow us. To make us stronger. More patient. More faithful. More like Christ.
But we don't always realize what those prayers require. Growth often comes through change. And change often asks us to release something we've become comfortable holding onto. Sometimes it's fear. Sometimes it's control. Sometimes it's an old version of ourselves that no longer fits who God is calling us to be.
The beautiful part is that God never asks us to let go without inviting us into something better. Transformation isn't about becoming someone completely different. It's about becoming more of who God created you to be.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." — 2 Corinthians 5:17
Maybe the change you're resisting today is the very thing God wants to use to shape you tomorrow.

This week, we're joined by our friend Brian Auman for an honest conversation about change, identity, and spiritual growth.
Together, we explore why change can feel so uncomfortable, how our identity in Christ gives us stability through every season, and why following Jesus often means embracing growth even when it's difficult.
Brian shares practical wisdom from his experiences as a husband, father, business owner, and life coach, reminding us that lasting transformation begins with surrender, not striving.
If you've been navigating a season of transition or feeling stretched by where God is leading you, we hope this conversation encourages you to trust Him with the process.

Prayer for the Week
Lord,
Thank You for never leaving us where You found us.
When change feels uncertain, remind us that You remain the same.
Give us the courage to trust You with every new season, the humility to let go of who we're no longer called to be, and the faith to become the people You've created us to become.
Help us find our identity in You above anything else.
Amen.
Thank you for being part of the Raised on Faith family.
No matter what season you're in, remember this: God is far more interested in who you're becoming than where you've been.
Until next week,
Chris & Josh
