Maybe your career took an unexpected turn. Maybe you're in a season of raising young kids instead of chasing the dream you once had. Maybe God closed a door you were certain He wanted you to walk through. Or maybe your life simply looks different than you imagined it would.

It's easy to wonder if we've somehow missed our purpose. But what if purpose isn't something we lose? What if it simply looks different in different seasons?

We often tie our calling to a specific role. A job. A ministry. A title. A dream.

But throughout Scripture, we see God calling ordinary people to be faithful wherever He places them. Sometimes that means leading. Sometimes it means serving quietly. Sometimes it means raising children. Sometimes it means showing up faithfully at work. The assignment may change. The mission doesn't.

This week, our friend Craig Banister shared how his own calling has looked different across the seasons of his life. From years of serving in ministry and touring with the Christian rock band The Lasting Hope, to being a husband, father, homeowner tackling fixer-upper projects, and continuing to serve God in everyday life, one thing remained constant: Faithfulness.

God doesn't only work through the extraordinary moments. He works through the ordinary ones too.

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus..." — Colossians 3:17

When our plans change, remind us that Your purpose has not. Help us trust that You are just as faithful in the ordinary as You are in the extraordinary.

Give us the wisdom to embrace the season You've placed us in, the courage to follow wherever You lead, and the confidence to know that our identity is found in You, not in our titles or accomplishments.

Teach us to be faithful with what's in front of us today.
