What Does It Really Mean to Be Healthy?
Hey friend,
When someone asks how you're doing, what's the first thing that comes to mind?
For a lot of us, "healthy" immediately makes us think about the gym, the scale, or the food we've been eating.
But what if health is so much bigger than that?
This week on Raised on Faith, Josh and I had a conversation that challenged both of us. We realized that somewhere along the way, we've often measured health by one category while quietly neglecting the others.
You can be physically fit and emotionally exhausted.
You can have a sharp mind but a weary soul.
You can be disciplined in the gym while struggling to be present with the people who matter most.
Real health isn't about having one area of life figured out, it's about pursuing wholeness.
This Week’s Reflection
The older we get, the more we realize that health isn't just about living longer.
It's about living well.
It's having the energy to play with your kids.
The patience to love your spouse.
The clarity to make wise decisions.
The strength to carry someone else's burden.
The peace that comes from walking closely with God.
Taking care of our bodies matters because they're gifts from God. Caring for our minds matters because our thoughts shape our lives. And nurturing our relationship with Christ matters because everything else flows from it.
Sometimes we chase the visible while neglecting the invisible.
But the healthiest life is one where body, mind, and spirit are growing together.
"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." — 1 Corinthians 10:31
Health isn't about becoming the strongest, fastest, or most disciplined person in the room.
It's about becoming the person God created you to be.

Prayer for the Week
Lord,
Thank You for creating us with purpose—body, mind, and spirit. Help us care for every part of the life You've entrusted to us. Give us the wisdom to build healthy habits, the discipline to stay consistent, and the grace to remember that our worth is found in You, not in our performance.
Teach us to pursue wholeness instead of perfection.
Amen.
Thank you for spending a few moments with us this week.
We're grateful you're part of the Raised on Faith family, and we pray this community continues to encourage you wherever God has you.
Until next week,
