Are they going to make you mad? Probably not.

Did we put "These Might Make You Mad" in the title anyway? Absolutely.

This week on Raised on Faith, Josh and I are having a little fun and putting some of our "hottest takes" on the table.

We're talking faith. Family. Parenting. Culture. And some of the everyday things we've developed pretty strong opinions about along the way.

And here's the funny part... Josh and I actually agree on all of them. So maybe "hot takes" is a stretch. But "Josh and Chris Agree About Some Things for an Hour" didn't have quite the same ring to it.

Underneath the fun of this episode, there's actually something we've realized through doing this podcast:

It's good to know what you believe and why you believe it. Especially when it comes to the things that matter most.

What do you believe about raising a family? What kind of husband or wife do you want to be? What values are you passing down to your children? How does your faith influence the way you look at the world? What things have you simply accepted because everyone else seems to accept them?

Not every opinion needs to become a hill to die on. And not every "hot take" needs to become a theological debate. But there is value in slowing down long enough to think about why we believe what we believe. Especially when our convictions influence the way we live.

"Test everything; hold fast what is good." — 1 Thessalonians 5:21

The goal isn't to have a strong opinion about everything. It's to make sure the things we believe are actually shaping us into the people God has called us to be.
